Ready to find out what your coins are worth? The fastest way to begin is to call, text, or email me. Sending a few pictures of your collection is the best first step for an appraisal.
here to provide you with a straightforward and honest appraisal of your coin collection. Whether you inherited a box of coins, found some old money, or are just curious about what you have, I can help you understand its value. The process is simple, transparent, and comes with no obligation to sell.
Step 1: Get in Touch The best way to start is to contact me via phone, text, or email. Sending photos of your collection at this stage is highly recommended as it helps me understand the size and scope of what you have.
Important Tip: If you have a lot of coins, please don't photograph each coin individually. The best approach is to take a few overview snapshots that show the size and general variety of the collection. This gives me enough information to understand what you have and what tools I need to bring for an appraisal (IE scale, precious metals tester, loupe etc).
Step 2: A Quick Review and Conversation Once you've made contact, I will review your photos (if provided) and get back to you promptly. We can then have a conversation about what you have. I’ll let you know if your items warrant a closer, in-person evaluation and we can schedule a time and place to meet.
Step 3: The In-Person Appraisal & Our Offer During your appointment, I will examine your collection more closely. I will explain the factors that determine value—such as condition, rarity, and metal content—and answer any questions you have. Once the evaluation is complete, I will present you with a no-obligation offer to purchase your collection. You can choose to sell all, some, or none of your items.
Appraisal fees are $20/hour with a $20 minimum. If we buy the collection, appraisal fees are waived(no fees).
Q: What kinds of items do you appraise?
A: We are interested in a wide variety of items. If you're unsure, it's always best to ask! This includes:
United States Coins (gold, silver, pennies, etc.)
World Coins
Gold & Silver Bullion (Eagles, Maple Leafs, bars, etc.)
Paper Currency (U.S. and foreign)
Scrap Gold & Silver Jewelry
Official Proof Sets & Mint Sets
Tokens & Medals
Q: Should I clean my coins before bringing them in?
A: No! Please do not clean your coins. This is the most critical piece of advice. Cleaning coins, even with a soft cloth, creates microscopic scratches and removes the natural toning (patina) that collectors value. Cleaning can permanently damage a coin and will almost always reduce its value significantly.
Q: How do you determine a coin's value?
A: Value is based on four key factors:
Condition (Grade): A coin's state of preservation. An uncirculated coin is worth more than a heavily worn one.
Rarity: How many were made and how many are still around for collectors.
Metal Content: The intrinsic value of the gold or silver in the coin.
Collector Demand: The current popularity of a specific coin among collectors.
Q: Do I need to sort my collection or take coins out of their holders?
A: No to both. You don't need to spend hours organizing everything; I can quickly assess a mixed collection. And please, leave coins in their original albums, flips, or cases. This helps protect them, and sometimes the holders themselves contain important information.
